Usually only ever refered to as SVSSS or Scumbag system, these novels are the least serious of MX's works and her first.
If you enjoy or want to try out a story that can only begin upon the main character's death, Scumbag system manages to utilize this trope multiple times and in fun and unique ways!
Our protagonist, Shen Yuan starts us off by dying of pure rage over the absurd fanservice and overused tropes in the webnovel Immortal Demon Way.
We then spend the rest of our time in the absurd, trope filled world of Immortal Demon way as our protagonist is reborn as the evil villain. He desperately tries to change the story to avoid the horrible death of his character while working within the scope of the 'system' that oversees his existence in the novel.
The system wants Shen Yuan to fix the plot holes he had so many issues with as a reader.Shen Yuan just wants to survive the novel’s male lead, Luo Binghe.

MO DAO ZU SHI Otherwise known as Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation.
These books also start as all great books should - with the protagonists death.
MDZS tells the legend of the Yiling Patriarch, a demonic cultivator named Wei Wuxian.
Feared for his ability to control legions of the dead, and hated for his disloyalty to his family.
The story follows Wei Wuxian, reincarnated 13 years later into the 'unrecognizable' body of a man named Mo, instantly recognized by the one person who never betrayed Wei Wuxian.
A cultivator named Lan Wanji.

By far the most popular work of MXTX with the most adaptations out of all of her works including a live action show available on netflix called the untamed. Each adaptation differs widely in the plot but in all of them, Lan Wanji protects Wei Wuxian as the two look into mysterious past events and get the chance to say everything left unsaid before Wei Wuxians death.

Now, the actual absurd plot of MDZS is as follows -

died to bring back jin ling’s uncle
who was killed by jin ling’s uncle
except surprise - not really, and he teams up with jin ling’s future uncle-in-law
to solve the mystery of a mutilated body that turns out to be jin ling’s uncle
who was killed by jin ling’s uncle,
and this all culminates in a confrontation in which jin ling’s uncle, jin ling’s future uncle-in-law
jin ling’s uncle
and jin ling’s uncle
confront jin ling’s uncle
who is stabbed by jin ling’s uncle
and killed by the resentful ghost of jin ling’s uncle
and this was all secretly orchestrated by jin ling’s uncle
Also, his parents are both dead, and most people blame Jin Lings Uncle.

I almost don’t want to say anything about this book because there’s not enough time in the world. It’s the latest of Mo Xiang’s works and also, the longest, both in word count and timeline.
Kictor's video is 50 minutes and JUST the plot. The audience and friend are already in the 'know' for a lot of important genre tropes and terminology.

But to sum it up as best I can...
The narrative jumps all throughout the life of Xie Lian. He rises to godhood and glory at 17, the youngest to ever do it.
He’s banished from heaven within a year for doing wayyyy to much. Yet, he ascends once again only to be banished once more.
800 years after his first ascension is when we join the narrative.
The books reveal snippets of those 800 years while we experience ‘current’ events and Xie Lian gets closer to the mysterious Supreme Ghost King Hua Cheng.

Name guides.... Very necessary. Oftentimes one character can go by as many as 5 names, while not in disguise or some other similar nonsense.
